Greater Cleveland Art and Gallery Festival

The Greater Cleveland Art & Gallery Festival (GCAGF) is entering its third year with the SPARX Gallery Hop, which is in its sixth year. The SPARX Gallery Hop is an event connecting six independent festivals occurring on the same weekend.

Each participating festival is connected by trolleys that transport patrons from one event to the next.The Galleria and the GCAGF is being promoted by SPARX and the DCA as the center hub of activity over the weekend. The GCAGF will host over 50 visiting artists and the Galleria is home to over 250 artists whose work is exhibited in one of five galleries located inside the Galleria. These galleries include A.R.T Showcase, Frame Center Gallery, HeARTworks,Herndon Gallery, and the Hungarian Heritage Museum. A portion of proceeds from the GCAGF will benefit HeARTworks and its support for the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities.

GCAGF will also host special film event and reception at the Galleria Saturday, September 20 from 7-11pm. Show times are: Pictures at an Exhibition, produced by the Westlake based Company MAM Events-7:30pm, & Tiny Tears, a documentary directed by Cleveland native Robert Corna & co-produced with Brian Mehling-8:30pm. “Tiny Tears” focuses on the lives of children who have been affected by the AIDS virus.
